Rijo manufactures pallets, crates, cages and all types of wooden containers, according to the needs of its customers. It works with top quality wood and, in the case of export, it does so with a Phytosanitary Treatment certificate, in accordance with Nimf-15 Standard.
The company carries out heat treatment (Nimf15 Standard) in its own facilities, which means significant cost and time savings. At the brand’s stand at EXPOCARGA, we spoke to Carlos Rijo, the company’s Director, who represents the second generation in the business, positioning the company as a reference in the sector. “The sawmill’s origins date back to the end of the 1950s, specializing for several decades in the manufacture of drawers for glass containers,” explains Rijo.
“In 1988, plastic packaging became a market staple, and during those years I focused on formwork panels for construction; in 1992, we focused on pallets and since then the company has been a reference in the sector.” Regarding pallet sizes, Rijo said: “There are three or four sizes that are the most common, but we make pallets of all sizes.”
